On June 19th Help Give the Gift of Independence to a Disabled Child

June 10, 2014 (Toronto, Ontario)  - June 19, 2014 marks the 17th Annual Axion Charity Challenge at Sleepy Hollow Golf & Country Club, Stouffville, in support of Ability Online.

This year we are supporting thousands of children just like Alessia, a happy and playful 11 year old who lives life to its fullest, despite her many challenges.  Alessia has a rare form of mitochondrial disease. Currently there are only four other people in the world diagnosed with this disease. Alessia’s dad has MS, her older brother Cosimo, 20, has a seizure disorder and learning disability and her older sister Jesse passed away at 2 ½ of the same disease Alessia has leaving Alessia’s mom to be the sole caregiver.

Alessia has been working very hard to get to her ultimate goal, to walk. Please help us give Alessia the gift of independence.  On June 19th walk the golf course and imagine Alessia walking right beside you.

For information on donating or to register to golf please contact Michelle McClure at 416.650.6207.
